Plunkett Street School is a small inner city school located on Gadigal Land in the harbour side suburb of Woolloomooloo, Sydney.
At Plunkett St we provide an engaging learning environment for students from Preschool to Year 6. There are currently four classes from K-6 and our 20 place preschool provides a play-based learning program in the year before formal schooling, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework.
Our teaching and learning programs are organised in small groups, so we can develop indivdiual learning pathways that are reflective of current research and pedagogy.
We work closely with our local community and learning partners to provide our students with varied learning opportunities to engage them academically, emotionally, socially and creatively so each student achieves the best educational and social outcomes possible.
Our staff have a deep knowledge of curriculum and are committed to collaboratively plan and deliver engaging and dynamic programs that are inclusive, evidence based and future focused.
The school motto is "Togetherness", describes the partnership between students, their families, our staff and the community to achieve the best possible outcomes for all.
