Plunkett Street Public School P&C
All members of the school community are encouraged to become a member of the P&C and attend meetings. It is a great way to be social, keep informed about the goings on at the school and contribute to the school community. There is no obligation to volunteer or be an active participant in meetings.
The P&C meets once a term in week 8 on a Thursday morning 8am in the school hall/library. Members can also attend via zoom link.
The membership fee is set at the minimum of 50c under the Incorporated P&C constitution. Once you complete the membership form and pay your membership fee, you are officially a member from the end of the next general meeting. You can then vote in the following general meeting and you can join the P&C meetings via zoom.
The P&C is a member of the P&C Federation of NSW and is a registered charity with ACNC.
It operates a DGR Item 1 eligible School Building Fund that allows tax deductible donations for school building capital works and maintenance. All other P&C donations are not tax deductible.
The P&C has it's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Week 8 of Term 1 where a President, Vice President (1), Vice President (2), Secretary and Treasurer are elected. Other sub-committees are formed as necessary.
The current office bearers for 2023 are:
