Dear Parents and Carers,
In view of the Prime Minister’s and Premiers updates over the last few days, there are some changes to the operation of Plunkett St Public School and Preschool.
The Premier has recommended that all families keep their children at home, unless they are in an essential workers role and need supervision for their children.
Schools will remain open to provide supervision for essential workers children, and these students will be will be working on independent tasks.
Our teachers at Plunkett St Public School are currently working on homeschooling programs that can be emailed to families to complete, as it suits their circumstances. At this stage, the programs will cover class content for weeks 10 and 11 of term 1. A list of external sites will also be sent home. Families can access these sites to supplement the class programs. The school will use the email address given at the time of your child’s enrollment. If this has changed, please contact the school so we can contact you.
Please remember that all students at Plunkett St School have access to Mathletics and Reading Eggs. These are two educational online programs that students frequently access at school. Students should know their own login and password. If they have forgotten, please contact the school.
Preschool families should visit Educa as Miss Bree and Miss Leanne are constantly updating ideas to engage the curious minds of our preschool age children. We would love families to share what their children have been doing by uploading stories and photos onto Educa. This will allow the teachers to offer ideas for learning experiences that can extend their interests.
