Week 1-2 Online Learning Continues
In weeks 1 and 2 of this term, students will continue to ‘learn from home’ as they did at the end of Term 1. Students will return to online learning via Google Classroom (K-6) and Educa (Preschool) from Wednesday 29th April. Students who are experiencing challenges accessing online materials can arrange to pick up a home learning pack by calling the school on 9358 5335.
Weeks 3-10 ‘Phased Managed Return’ to School
NSW Public Schools are looking to increase face-to-face teaching through a gradual return to school for students during Term 2. This will be done through a staged approach to balance the needs of students and staff, their families, personal circumstances and workplaces during the pandemic.
From Week 3, that is Monday 11th May, every student will have the opportunity to start attending school one day a week, with around 25 students in attendance on any given day. This is to limit the number of students and staff on site to enable social distancing and help reduce any risk. Please ensure your child only comes to school on that day, unless specific arrangements have been made with the Principal. The Department of Education has requested one mode of learning, so please be assured that both students ‘learning at school’ and ‘learning at home’ will receive the same level of instruction and materials.
On the day that your child is invited into school, we request parents stay outside the school gates at drop off and pick up times. Younger students will be walked to the gate at the end of the day by their teacher. Students attending after school care will meet Lisa at the lunch tables at 3pm.
The phased enrolment for Plunkett St from Week 3 will be:
Monday: No Students. “Work From Home” packages can be collected after 2pm.
Tuesday: Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6.
Wednesday: Preschool - Group A & Kindergarten.
Thursday: Year 2 & Year 3.
Friday: Preschool - Group B & Year 1.
